I like Facebook, but I don't love it. It's because of the company's acceptance of questionable ads like this and poor usability. Don't even get me started on the Facebook beacon!

Facebook isn't practicing Responsible Marketing, and it's a shame. Their growth has been astonishing, but it's been due to network effect -- the fact that everyone seemingly has a Facebook account.

But like the recession, the backlash is no longer in question, it's just a question of severity now.
