Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired about marketing in this economy? I've got just the thing. This week (Wednesday, April 15, 9:00-10:30am to be exact) join me at the the Microsoft Seminar Facility in Waltham, MA for "Great Recession Marketing: A Common Sense Approach." It's the monthly breakfast meeting of the New England Direct Marketing Association, and I plan on blowing the lid off the place. Get full details here.
Last week I registered for an online marketing webinar. Right after I signed up I received a confirmation email. This morning they sent a reminder. Pretty standard stuff, right? Wait -- here's the interesting part: Shortly before the thing started an email showed up with "Your Webinar Is Starting Now" in the subject line.
I didn't attend (I was at a lunch appointment; I'll ask for the recorded version), but I think this was unusually smart. If you try it -- or better yet, split-test it against your standard approach -- add a comment to this post and let us know what happened.
